What is TaskBall?

TaskBallTM is a patent-pending, superior alternative to e-mail as a means to delegate, communicate and track the status of tasks. It is a Web 2.0 design delivered in a hosted Software as a Service (SaaS) model.

How does TaskBall help me or my company?

TaskBallTM helps you stay focused so that you can spend more time doing tasks and less time communicating about the status of a task. It also will help you and your teammates appreciate one another, creating more cohesive teamwork that leads to higher levels of productivity and accountability. TaskBallTM provides a performance reporting platform that gives insight to all stakeholders regarding how your organization is tracking on goals, objectives, projects and tasks.

Is TaskBall a substitute for Microsoft Project?

We view tools like Microsoft Project as great resource-planning instruments, especially for those larger enterprises. In contrast, TaskBallTM is focused on the atomic-level task and communications between stakeholders for small to midsize organizations. We don't believe there is crossover between the products.

Is TaskBall a substitute for e-mail?

Some of our community members have expressed their desire to move away from e-mail and rely on TaskBallTMas their organization's primary means of typewritten communication. We see it like this: If you have something to say, use e-mail. If you have something to do, use TaskBallTM.

Can I install TaskBall on my company server?

Because TaskBallTM is a hosted Web application, there is nothing to install except the optional Notifier applet.

What Web browsers can I use with TaskBall?

TaskBallTM has been tested and is supported on current versions of Mozilla FireFox, Windows Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. We hope to finalize Apple's Safari testing very soon.

Can I create TaskBall tasks from other apps?

Not currently; however, we do have a full Web service API planned for future release. Please let us know if this is something you are interested in beta testing. Click here faq@taskball.com.

Is my information secure in TaskBall?

TaskBallTM is hosted at a fully redundant, state-of-the-art data center. It utilizes SSL 256-bit encryption between your Web browser and our servers. TaskBallTM also protects your data using modern database encryption technologies.

Who was TaskBall designed for?

We expect that the primary users will be small to midsize organizations, teams or departments looking for better alternatives to e-mail to delegate, manage and track tasks. TaskBallTM is well-suited for tasks and projects of any duration, but ROI increases as the duration or the number of stakeholders increases. It does exceptionally well in situations where collaborators cross multiple organizations, departments or teams. We encourage everyone to try TaskBallTM risk-free for 30 days.
